Dr. Gregor treats Medical Office Visits such as, Ocular Surface Disease, Red Eyes, Allergies and many other eye conditions.
The tear film in your eyes is responsible for 90% of visual clarity. Decreased tear production can be caused by increased age, contact lens wear, certain medications, eye diseases, or other medical conditions. Upon completion of a thorough questionnaire, your ocular surface disease index will be calculated and Dr. Gregor will determine whether you have decreased tear production.
Treatments range from prescription eye drops, such as Restasis or Xiidra, to nasal spray, such as Tyrvaya, to a centrifuged blood derived drop, also known as Autologous Tear Serum.
Autologous Tear Serum is a customized drop from a patient’s own blood diluted in sterile saline or hyaluronic acid. With this formula, it is similar to the components of human tears. Autologous tears are best targeted for patients with severe dry eyes. Most patients use commercially available lubricants for symptom relief; however, some over the counter lubricants are not sufficient for all patients. With the use of Autologous Serum, you can restore ocular surface health.
